1998 Roulot Meursault 1er Cru Les Perriéres

Readers know how much I love Roulot these days. This is certainly no exception. It is the first premier cru I've tried, and I can not wait to have more. There's such a distinction in these wines. This one is pale browning golden. There's flowers and funk, amazing aromatics, butter, lemon chiffon, orange peel, and impeccable balance. This is fully mature, and I love it. We ordered this from the encyclopedic wine list at Cru for $230, which is a fair price even though a lot of money.
