2005 Comte Georges de Vogue Chambolle-Musigny

Bottle #00110. This is an outstanding red burgundy that delivers the goods. It is a lovely ruby red, with a nose of some damp earth, mushroom funk, and musty dark summer fruit. It is fine as silk, with wild blackberries, wild flowers, and incredible finesse and charm. Hard to imagine that it is a villages level wine. It beats most grand crus I've tried. It is a very expensive wine (retail $150), but really worth it. We drank this as a celebration for Jill. She was on NBC. We loved it so much that we decided to watch this wine over the next 25 years, and drink 1 bottle every 5 years (I have 5 left). Remember, my grade reflects the price.
