2005 Pine Ridge Crimson Creek Merlot

I'm not going nuts for this. Somewhat simple aromas of figs and plums. On the palate, there's pretty berries, and a nice leathery minerality. There's an astringent note in the finish that jars the balance. Jill says hint of spice, but not enough fruit. Maybe some cleaning product?? That sounds terrible, but we are still drinking it. Mostly it works. Retail $25.
