European Wines | Prices, Types, & Reviews
Written By: Matthew Apsokardu on Tuesday, July 1, 2008
Europe is the epicenter of wine. Almost all of the world's finest grapes, producing methods, and styles can trace their lineage back to humble European beginnings. A listing of European countries reads like a who's who of wine -- France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Austria, Portugal, among others. For beginner and expert alike, European wine is the place to spend serious time.
Europe has achieved such a prominent level of success that even regions inside of European countries have grown to international fame. Bordeaux, Burgundy, Tuscany, and Champagne are all names that stand for quality and legacy. At Classic Wines we recommend selecting a region first, and then trying to discern your preferred bottle from there.
