Sardinia Wines | Prices, Types & Reviews

Because of the climate of Sardinia, the wines that are produced here tend to be rather high in alcohol and a bit low in elegance. As a result, much of the wine of Sardinia is used to increase the alcohol of the cooler-climate wines of more northerly wine regions. There are, however, some Sardinian wines that are finding their way to the United States, among the most popular of which is the white Vermentino di Sardegna. On the whole, however, Sardinia is not known for the quality of its wines.
