Spanish Wines | Prices, Types & Reviews

Spain is one of the most exciting wine-producing countries in the world these days. The range of high-quality and affordable wines is unrivaled on the Continent, and because Spanish wines are just now beginning to be appreciated by a wider audience than ever before, it is still possible to find an excellent bottle of Spanish wine in this country in the $10-$15 range. The most famous Spanish wine is Rioja, a lovely red wine made primarily from the Tempranillo grape, though there are occasionally additions of Garnacha to it. Riojas range from everyday sipping wines to blockbusters that require the presence of excellent, rich food to fully bring out all their many facets of flavor and aroma.
