2003 Walter Clore Private Reserve Columbia Crest

Medium translucent ruby. Give it 15 minutes to open up and it becomes quite an interesting wine. Interesting aromas of rose hips, and classic Bordeaux cigar box and lead pencil. Then ripe blackberries, eucalyptus, and a long, smooth (yet tannic) finish. Lovely details surrounding an elegant frame. I would love to serve this blind in a Saint Julian tasting. It would fairly compete with wines 2-3 times the price. With a turkey sandwich. Retail $35.
