2004 Domaine Ghislaine Barthod Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Beaux Bruns

Needed a long time to open up. After more than 2 hours, it is still improving. Seemed to hit its stride after almost 3 hours. Pure, wild, reticent dark fruits, Sweet cherry and cranberry. Lovely earthiness, and sappy pine towards the end of the finish. Everything is here, but needs many more years to come together. This is the first Barthod I've tried. Can't wait to have more. Obviously strong wine making here. With local scallops and shrimp, then local flounder and broccoli.
