2006 Merry Edwards Sauvignon Blanc

Made in a dense new world style. There's a peachy mineral nose. This is plump, lush, hearty, tasty wine that would go with almost any food. Medium to full bodied, satin smooth and oily. Fun label too. I'm digging it. I get some green pair and very long finish. Then as it warms in the glass, some well integrated oak appears along with slightly high alcohol (the label says 15.1%). It is so much fun. Get some. We drank with fois gras and french onion soup, which is a perfect pairing. Retail $40.
