Argentinian Wines | Prices, Types & Reviews

Written By: Brian Freedman on Mon, Jul 31st 2006

Some of the most exciting and reasonably-priced wines in the entire world are being made in Argentina. Technological advances in vineyard management and a willingness to experiment with lesser-known grape varieties have combined to create what is arguably one of the biggest wine success stories of the last few decades. Wine lovers all over the world are falling madly in love with the Malbecs being produced in Argentina. Traditionally, Malbec played a secondary role in the wines of Bordeaux, but in Argentina, this humble grape has found a home in which it can flourish and reach its full potential. And many excellent examples of this exciting red wine can still be found for less than $10. It's enough to make even the most serious wine connoisseur swoon.
