This region at the proverbial toe of the Italian boot is not known for its wine production. Indeed, though there are grapes grown here, and wines made as well, there are precious few of note. In fact, the vast majority of the wines are nothing more than everyday table wines of acceptable but rather ordinary quality, and the difficulty most Americans will have in finding them is rarely worth the effort. You're better off drinking the wines of Italy's other, better wine regions.
