Champagne blend - Who's in there?

A Champagne blend is just what it sounds like, a mix of grapes associated with the making of Champagne. What are these grapes you ask? The three grapes most influential in the Champagne making process are Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier, and Chardonnay. At classic wines we list grapes as a Champagne blend if they contain less than 85% of one of these grapes. Otherwise it would be listed as a sparkling wine of whatever varietal, and perhaps from the mystical Champagne region.
