Israel boasts one of the deepest heritages of wine in the history of the world. Dating back to biblical times, wine was a mainstay both economically and ritually. It's no wonder that the wine producers of Israel take their craft very seriously and have developed a reputation in accordance with their effort. In the past few decades Israeli Wine moved to a new world style. This has led to certain growing pains and complaints about sweetness, but Israel appears to have pulled through successfully and is experiencing higher levels of respect among the other great wine producing regions of the world.
