Campania Wines | Prices, Types, & Reviews
Campania is much more well-known for its tourism than for its wines. Which is not to say that the wines of Campania are not good: Rather, there are some very nice wines being made in this region, including Primitivo, which is produced from the ancestor of that most famous California grape, Zinfandel, and Greco di Tufo, a charming white wine from the region. But with such tourist destinations as Naples, the Amalfi coast, and Capri in the region, it would take a much stronger wine-producing culture to compete for the attention. As it is, the wines of Campania are generally perfectly nice and enjoyable, but rarely, if ever, truly memorable.
