This is perhaps the most highly regarded wine region in Chile, and it's no wonder: The wines from here are generally quite agreeable and reliably consistent, and the prices are still rather low for the amount of pleasure they deliver. Red Wines are most important here, and international varieties like Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon are among the most popular.
