From the mountains to the coast, North Carolina is home to a unique variety of wines. North Carolina's wineries and vineyards are spread throughout the state, from the Yadkin Valley, to the Haw River Wine Trail and even the vineyards of the Swan Creek Wine Trail in North Carolina. Growers from the mountains and Piedmont regions of North Carolina have planted traditional grapes such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Chardonnay, Reisling and Sauvignon Blanc.
