Puglia Wines | Prices, Types, & Reviews
Puglia, or Apulia, as it is known to English-speakers, is Italy's second most important wine-producing region in terms of quantity. It is located along the Adriatic coast in the southeast of the country, and its fertile soils have led to a huge wine output in this region. Negroamaro and Primitivo are two of the most well-known grape varieties grown in this region, though on the whole, the wines themselves tend toward the uninspiring. As with so many other wine regions throughout the world, quantity and quality are rather opposed here.
