Wine Tasting
There's drinking wine and tasting wine, the latter being a more serious (but enjoyable) endeavor. The primary objective of a winetasting is to analyze the wine to determine its quality. The most simple, straightforward approach is to assess whether a wine tastes good. Dedicated winetasters (who vary broadly in their degree of seriousness) have more exacting criteria, however. There are many guidelines on how to taste wine formally, such as using the proper equipment, like white tablecloths, DECANTERS and appropriate GLASSES having the wines at the right TEMPERATURE decanting the wine, if necessary, and so on. The tasting process itself involves three basic steps, all of which have their own nuances: examining the wine's appearance, smelling the wine, and tasting it.
