Topic: Wine Showdown

There are wines that we can enjoy from all over the world, today we review two Cabernet Sauvignon wines from Chile. Join The Classic Wines Minute as Brian Freedman describes the currans, chocolate, cedar and dark ripe fruit on the nose of the wines, and explains why he would pair one of them with a big rib eye steak. I actually hadn't heard of Concho Y Toro before this video. Thanks for the intro.

I can see why this video is listed in the favorites. Great presentation all around. I don't think wines from Chile get as much press as they deserve.

Chile, pretty exotic stuff. Although it's nice that the prices haven't skyrocketed out of range.

Cabernet is probably the most popular red, so maybe you should do some more cab wine showdowns?

I've always had good luck with the Casa Lapostolle. I've found it to be worth the price.

I'm a big cab guy, so I was particularly interested in this showdown. Did you consider decanting those bottles? why/why not?

Great style and presentation. I wasn't bored and I wasn't overwhelmed. Consider using this location again, or perhaps on a nice outdoor patio somewhere. The ambiance really makes a difference.

I always enjoy the wine showdowns. Keep em coming! Also I haven't tried any Chile wines, so I think I'll make a point of it now.
