Abbazia Santa Anastasia 2004 Nero Davola
Description:
Taste Description - Ruby red in color, with an intense, appealing, brambly nose reminiscent of berries and red fruit, confirmed on a full-bodied, concentrated, flavorful palate.
Vinification & Aging - Entirely from elevated, Guyot-trained vines (clayey soil) of Sicilys signature variety, characterized by structured intensity, sturdy yet smooth tannins, full flavors. The grapes are macerated on the skins for 10-13 days at a controlled temperature of 24-28 (75.2 to 82.4 degrees Fahrenheit). The resulting wine is subsequently fine-tuned by 3 months in 2nd-usage barriques of Allier oak.
