"VINTAGE 2007AVAILABILITY Winery ExclusiveAPPELLATION Mendocino County STORY: We name this wine Caseys Block in honor of our long time friend Casey Burke. A fellow devotee to Biodynamic farming, Casey helped us transition our estate vineyards over a decade ago. Taken from us far too early in a tragic accident, we dedicate this wine to Casey. VINIFICATION: The grapes were taken to the winery early in the morning under cool conditions to preserve the delicate fruit. After whole cluster pressing, the free run juice was settled and cold tank fermented in stainless steel until bottling. The result is a wine that sparkles with incredible clarity and crispness.VINTAGE: A dry winter led to a fairly early bud break in 2007. Overall the growing season was evenly paced with a just a few heat spikes in the early summer. Warm August weather started harvest early, especially for early ripening varietals like Sauvignon Blanc. This vintage was certainly smaller in quantity than 2006, but in many cases the lower yields meant more concentrated flavors. Alc. 13.5%, TA .67, Ph 3.12              "
