From the Producer

Tony Norskog, winemaker and partner, has been making wines for over 25 years. His career includes a stint as head winemaker for Nevada City Winery along with various adventures through the Central Coast of California and France as chief tank washer and grape crusher.

He received his degree in enology from the University of California at Davis in 1977, the most prestigious winemaking school in the country.

Tony has also been one of the vanguard winemakers within the organic wine world, helping to create outstanding organic sulfite free wines at a great value since 1989.

Tony's knowledge of organics and how to hand craft wines with distinct characteristics, all the while eschewing chemicals and preservatives, speaks volumes about why he started this endeavor and how he plans to continue it.

Donn Berdahl, assistant winemaker and partner, joined Tony in March of 2004. Donn and Tony's synergy is evidenced by the tremendous growth the company has seen since they joined forces, growing into a national brand with distribution in nearly every state in the union.

Donn was formerly General Manager and on-site winemaker for a large custom crush facility that handled grapes for well known wineries and growers alike. His training came the old fashioned way, via apprenticeship. He was very fortunate to be mentored by two long time award-winning winemakers that started, and then consulted, at the custom facility.

Donn came to the wine industry via Occidental College and has a great passion for the romance and lifestyle it offers.
