Forward and slightly grapey, the nose of this engaging Bordeaux-style blend has well-defined aromas of rich red plum, red currant, red licorice, red rose, vanilla and a bit of cinnamon. It is medium-rich in body and attractively mouth-coating, with just enough tannin to give structure and style to its lingering flavors of sweet red plum, vanilla and baking spices. With airing, everything grows richer and more focused, but the fruit retains its brightness, making this wine an especially versatile food companion.
